(20 AUG 1946) Miss Ella Marie Heiman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Heiman, and Allen L. Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. B.W. Hubbard, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage at 9 a.m., Aug. 20, 1946, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Rev. A.M. Muckerheide officiating at the double ring service. The bride’s gown of white lace and net was designed with long fitted sleeves and a basque bodice flaring into a hipline peplum edged with riffling. The net overskirt extended into a train. Her fingertip veil of illusion was edged with lace and caught to a beaded crown. Her shower bouquet of white roses was centered with a purple orchid and tied with white satin ribbons. The turquoise and rhinestone necklace she wore was a gift from the groom. Her sister, Lenore, served as maid of honor. Miss Louella Schoenberger, a cousin, was bridesmaid. They wore identical white lace frocks styled with sweetheart necklines and full graceful skirts. Green and orchid tiaras completed their costumes and the carried white roses tied with green and orchid ribbons. Janith Wagener, a niece of the groom, in a white frock and carrying white roses tied with yellow ribbon, was flower girl. Richard Boie, the groom’s nephews, was ring bearer. Harvey Boie was best man. Both Mrs. Heiman and Mrs. Hubbard were attired in black dresses trimmed with white. Pink and white roses were pinned to their shoulders. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and in the evening a dance was given at the Mileaway Ballroom. The young couple will reside in Thorp where Mr. Hubbard is employed by the Blue Moon Foods, Inc. |
