St. John’s Catholic church at Marshfield, Wis. was the scene of a beautiful wedding on Saturday, Sept. 14, 1946, at nine o’clock in the morning when Miss Grace Trybula, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Trybula Jr., of Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis., became the bride of Victor Griebel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Griebel of Marshfield. Father Bach performed the ceremony.

The bride was given away in marriage by her father. She wore a beautiful white gown of ninon over satin with a long train edged with lace. She wore a long fingertip veil which was held at the top by a crown of pearls and rhinestones. Her bouquet consisted of white lilies and pink roses, and had long white streamers with roses.

Miss Betty Griebel, sister of the groom, was chose as maid of honor. She was attired in a gown of white net over satin and a blusher to match held in place by a wreath of flowers.

The bride chose as her bridesmaid her sister, Miss Gertrude Trybula, who was attired in a blue net gown over satin and a blusher to match. The groom chose as his best man, his brother, Reuben Griebel. Other attending couples were Miss Barbara Bangart, who wore a yellow net gown over satin and Mrs. Clarence Schriendel, who wore a gown of pink net over satin. They wore blushers to match. The groomsmen were Alex Trybula, uncle of the bride, and Wilburt Derge. The men all wore blue suits and white carnation boutonnieres.

The maid of honor and bridesmaids carried colonial bouquets made up of white lilies and red roses with streamers to match their formals.

A reception was held for about 75 guests immediately after the ceremony at the new Armory at Marshfield. A wedding dance was held in the evening at the Country Ballroom at Marshfield. Before her marriage the bride was employed as Nurse Aid at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, for two years. The groom was recently discharge from the U.S. Army. The will make their home at Marshfield, where the groom is employed.

Out of town guests who attended the wedding were: Alex Trybula, Miss Olive Szczech, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ceglarek and family, of Chicago, Ill.; and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lutz and family of Sturgeon Bay; Mr. and Mrs. John Kozack, Mr. and Mrs. John Trybula and son, Mrs. And Mrs. Joseph Trybula Sr., Frank Trybula, Mr. and Mrs. George Trybula and son, Tony Plaharchek, John Szczech, Mrs. Walter Badzinski, all of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Trybula and family of Willard.
