George Plummer, 53, field man at the Clark County Asylum, died while at work in the hay field about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, following a heart attack.

Mr. Plummer came to Owen about 23 years ago, and has been employed all this time at the asylum as foreman and field man. He and his family made their home in the residence just east of the asylum building. He came here from Black River Falls, his former home.

Following his death his body was taken to Stanley where it is lying in state at the Plombon Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Plummer is survived by his wife and two children, Harriett, 12, and Donald, 8. One child preceded him in death.

The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of numerous friends in Owen and elsewhere in this time of sorrow.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at 9:30 for George A. Plummer, whose death occurred Wednesday of last week, while he was working on the Clark County Asylum farm, where he had been farm manager for the past number of years. The services were held at St. Mary’s Church, Stanley, and burial took place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Harriet and son, Donald, besides one sister, Mrs. Leo Gelinas, Fielding Sask., Canada, and two brothers, Leland of St. Paul and Clarence of Melrose.

He has always been a member of the Holy Rosary Church, Owen,and a man well liked by all who knew him.
