Surnames: Sears, Jonas, Kurasz, Ignace, Genteman, Kaboski, Bush, Neilson, Palmer, Schmidt, Opelt, Kurbyan, Seifert, White, Holub, McCarty, Corson, Subke, Dobes ----Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 08/02/1945 Levis – by Mrs. Fred Sears Mrs. John Jonas of Chicago spent several days the past week with Mrs. Martin Kurasz. Frank Ignace came last week to help his brother, Thomas, with hay making and to visit his mother and sister. Mr. and Mrs. William Genteman and four sons returned to Chicago the first part of the past week after making several improvements on their place. Mr. and Mrs. Kaboski of Sparta visited his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bush, several days the past week. Mrs. N. Neilson has returned to her home in Illinois after a visit with her mother, Mrs. Elsie Palmer, and brother, Carl. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Schmidt and children of Neillsville spent Sunday with his mother and family. Mrs. Carl Opelt returned Saturday from Sheridan, leaving her mother much better. Fred Sears went Friday to Madison for a few days’ visit with his son, Verlyn, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kurbyan and three daughters spent several days with his brother Arthur and family. They returned to their home in McHenry, Ill., Friday. Beverly and Shirley Seifert of Chicago came Saturday to visit at the Elmer Bush home. Norman White, Jr., is home from his visit to Chicago and will spend the remainder of his vacation here. Mr. and Mrs. Norman White, Sr., entertained Mrs. Elsie Palmer and son and guests at their home Thursday. The Happy Hour club met at the home of Mrs. Erwin Holub August 1. A farewell party was held for Mrs. Fred McCarty, who leaves soon with her husband and little daughter, Maryann, for his home in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Corson and daughter and her son returned Friday to their home in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke and her sister of Minneapolis spent Saturday evening at the Frank Dobes home.
