----Elmer, Edna M. (Marriage – 21 July 1945)

The Rev. M. K. Aaberg officiated at the marriage of Miss Edna M. Elmer, daughter of Mrs. Anna Elmer, Greenwood, and S/Sgt. Oril M. Swieso, son of Mrs. Alice Swieso, Rockford, Ill. The ceremony was performed at the Trondhjem Lutheran church, Greenwood, July 21.

The bride chose a wedding dress of white taffeta with an entrained overskirt of net, and a beaded crown held her fingertip veil of illusion. Her flowers were red roses. Her sister, Miss Estelle Elmer, was maid of honor. Henry Borkawski, brother-in-law of the bride, gave her in marriage and the groom had as his attendant his twin brother, Pfc. Orin Swieso.

Mrs. Swieso was graduated from the Greenwood high school with the class of 1943 and has been employed in Chicago for the past year. Sgt. Swieso, a graduate of the Loyal high school with the class of 1939, recently returned from service in Europe. They will reside in Chicago until the groom reports for reassignment.
