----Fluegel, Lauretta (Marriage - 22 Sept. 1945)

At St. Paul’s Lutheran church on September 22, Miss Lauretta Fluegel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fluegel of the town of Sherwood, became the bride of Joseph Kaczor, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kaczor of Neillsville. The double-ring ceremony was read by the Rev. L. H. Goetz, before a group of 125 guests. The church was decorated with garden flowers.

For her wedding the bride chose a white satin gown with lace insets and a long train. Her long veil was held in place with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums.

Her maid of honor, Miss Lois Schwanebeck, wore a gown of blue net over taffeta. Miss Jean Fluegel, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a gown of pink net over taffeta.

The groom was attended by Aid Fluegel, brother of the bride.

A wedding reception was held for 125 guests at the home of the bride’s parents. A dance was held at the Sherwood hall in the evening.

The bride has been employed by the Douglas Aircraft company in Chicago. The groom has completed 40 months of service with the army in the south Pacific.

Those from out of town who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mullahy and son of Reedsburg, Mrs. Leon Schultz and daughter of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. John Wuciki, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. John Wilhorn and family of Wisconsin Rapids, and Miss Betty Larson of Minor.

The couple are now residing south of Neillsville on a farm which the groom has purchased.

Several from Levis attended the wedding in Sherwood Lutheran church Saturday evening, when Miss Lauretta Fluegel and Joseph Kaczor were married. Mr. Kaczor will live on the farm he recently bought, on the town line, from Alfonse Wucki.
