Surnames: Buivid, Schiller, Fhlikas, Welsh, Haight, Naedler ----Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 10/04/1945 ----Buivid, Alvina (Marriage – 29 Sept. 1945) William Schiller of Port Washington, son of Mrs. Rose Schiller of Neillsville, and Alvina Buivid, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Buivid of Port Washington, were married Saturday, September 29, at 10 a.m. at St. Ambrose church at Port Washington. The Rev. Fr. Fhlikas officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The church was decorated with garden flowers. The bride was attired in a white marquisette colonial style gown with a self-ruffled tunic which graduated into a train. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a sterling silver rosary and a bouquet of white mums. The maid of honor, Miss Jeanne Buivid, sister of the bride, wore a gown of blue marquisette. The best man was Joseph Schiller, brother of the groom. After the wedding a reception for about 200 guests was held at the Knights of Columbus hall. The couple left on a brief wedding trip to the northern part of Wisconsin. The bride’s going away outfit was a brown suit with green accessories. The groom is a graduate of the Neillsville high school with the class of 1942 and has completed a two-year course in engineering at Milwaukee. He has since been employed by the Wisconsin Telephone company. The bride is a graduate of the Port Washington high school and has been employed by the Wisconsin chair company of Port Washington. The couple will make their home in Port Washington. Those from Neillsville who attended the wedding were: Mrs. Rose Schiller, Mrs. Frances Welsh and Mrs. Hugh Haight. Henry Naedler, Jr., also went from Milwaukee.
