Testimony was to be given by Commander Ike Hashimoto, who is supposed to have been in charge of the Jap submarine which sank the Indianapolis. At the memorial service for Neal Braun, the Rev. B. M. Fresenborg officiated. During the service Mrs. Daniel Olson and the Misses Martha Horn and Louise Keiner, accompanied by Mrs. Adolph Meyer, sang “Sometime We’ll Understand” and “Good Night and Good Morning.” He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Braun, and three sisters, Catherine of Eau Claire; Verna Mae and Jean, at home; his maternal grandfather, Sam Smith of Milwaukee. Neal Frederick Braun was born July 16, 1927, in the town of Reseburg, Clark county. In early childhood he was baptized, was confirmed with the class of 1942, and received into membership of *** Note: The rest of the article was missing.
