---Pagenkopf, Theola (Marriage – 9 Dec. 1944)

Miss Theola Pagenkopf, daughter of John Pagenkopf, Neillsville, and Ernest Bird, son of Mrs. Rose Bird, Greenwood, took place at 2 o’clock, in the afternoon on December 9, at St. John’s Lutheran Study, the Rev. William A. Baumann, pastor of the St. John’s Church, officiating at the double ring service.

The bride wore a white satin and net dress, and carried a bouquet of red roses and chrysanthemums. Her bridesmaid was Miss Mary West. Ardell Runge was the groom attendant.

A dinner was served to the immediate families at the home of the bride’s father, the dining room being decorated in pink and white. Later a dance was given at the Weston Town Hall.

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School, class of 1940, and for the past four years has been employed in Chicago. The groom is engaged in farming. They will reside on the farm near Greenwood.
