Local Happenings

Louis F. Frome went to Marshfield Tuesday to attend to some business.

Frank Goeltz went to Oshkosh Monday for a visit with relatives and friends.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Yelke in the town of Frankfort, Aug. 6th.

Mrs. Aug. Tesmer of Spencer, spent a couple of days last week with her husband’s parents.

Albert Thierbach came down from Jump River, Friday, for a few days visit with his folks.

Jos. Davel and family of Loyal, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Lamont last Sunday.

Miss Esther Rosin went to Cadott Monday, for a few days visit with her sister, Mrs. Wm. Wagner.

Rev. A. Peper was at Dorchester last Sunday where he was one of the principal speakers at a mission service.

Roy Boullion and wife of Park Falls, spent several days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Lemke.

Fred Burhop went to Marshfield last Friday to see his step-son, Albert Sieber, who is receiving treatment at the hospital.

A G.A.R. badge was found on the street last week and is in our possession, and the owner can have it by calling at the office.

Gust Franz and Alvin Goldamer and their wives and Chas. Sabler were Sunday visitors at Stratford. They Forded it over.

“The Battle Cry of Peace” in nine reels, the biggest and best picture ever shown in Colby, will be at the Rex August 27, 28, 29.

J. B. Kupfer and Ernst Gosse and their wives drove to Bakerville by auto last week Thursday and spent the day with John’s brother.
