--------- Boettcher, Henrietta #2 (15 AUG 1859 – 1 JUN 1942)

Mrs., Herman Boettcher, nee Henrietta Strout, 82, died at her home in the town of Beaver at 9 a.m. June 1 of pneumonia and complications.

She was born near Berlin, Germany, on August 15, 1859. At the age of 22 years she came to America with a younger sister. Having relatives living in Unity, they came to stay.

She was married in Loyal to Herman Boettcher in 1883. Immediately following her marriage she made her home on the farm in Beaver township that remained her home until her death, or for almost 60 years.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church at Riplinger, and funeral services were held there Friday, June 5, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Reiff of Marshfield officiated. Burial was in the Pine Grove cemetery, northeast of Loyal.

Pallbearers were Adolph Gretzner, Charlie Wittlinger, Arnold Pieper, Ben Clouse, Emil Steffen and George Foelsch. The ladies who carried the flowers were Mrs. Emil Steffen, Mrs. Ben Clouse, Mrs. George Foelsch and Mrs. Arnold Pieper.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Schwartz and son Elmer of Amherst and Mrs. Ed Schmall, Mrs. Hugo Mahn and Mrs. Casper of Park Falls.

Mrs. Boettcher was preceded in death by her husband and two children. She is survived by six children: Marie, Minnie, Louise and Albert, at home; Max of the town of Unity, and Mrs., John (Martha) Luther of Abbotsford. Three grandchildren and two half-sisters, Freda in Germany and Mrs. Carl (Augusta) Juergens of Park Falls, also survive.
