School: Clark County Rural School Improvements (1928)

Saturday, 20 Oct 1928 IMPROVEMENTS BEING MADE IN MANY SCHOOLS Mrs. Margaret Van Natta, the Clark county superintendent, makes the following announcements in regard to improvements which have been made in the rural schools in Clark county during the past year. The Braun Settlement school, town of Warner, has a new basement and furnace this year. The Atwood school has a new floor. Butlerville has a new giant slide. The Reseburg State graded school has added a third teacher this year. Colby and Humbird graded schools have added another teacher. The Roder school has new single seats this year. The Pleasant View and Woodland schools each have new playground equipment. The Mack school, town of Loyal, was varnished and painted inside and outside. The Mayflower school has a new furnace. The Soo Grove state graded school is improving its school grounds by having it graded and seeded. The Curtiss graded school has enlarged the intermediate class room, adding one hundred feet of black board and ample book shelf room, as well as new bulletin boards for each room. The Maple Ridge school, town of Mead, has added free text books this year. This school was formerly the only school in the county where children had to buy their own books. The Longwood state graded school has a new basement floor. The Reseburg state graded school has a new efficiency duplicator.
