Curtiss News

Mr. and Mrs. Harold F. Tonn and family of Escanaba, Mich., were New Year’s week-end guests of his mother, Mrs. Anna Tonn.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Konik took their son, Pvt. Gary Konik, to Eau Claire Sunday from where he left for Ft. Huavhus, Ariz., after spending a ten-day furlough at his home.

Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Kline and grand daughters of Stevens Point were New Year’s Day guests at the home of the latter’s brother, Arnold Bakke, and wife.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kuntz of Appleton spent New Year’s week-end with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Frane.

Pvt. Arne Thieme has returned to report for duty at Ft. Polk, La., after a holiday furlough which he spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Thieme.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wardwell and children of La Crosse returned home Sunday after a holiday visit with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Prestebak visited with his parents at Rock Falls during the past week.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Thorson and son and Mr. and Mrs. Art Lokken of Minneapolis visited over the holidays with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lokken.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tonn and children and Mrs. Anna Tonn visited on New Year’s Day with Grandma Tonn at the Havenet Home in Owen and helped her celebrate her 94th birthday anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Eli Klessig of Milwaukee were holiday guests of his mother, Mrs. Lloyd Haemer, and grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Buss, and other relatives.

New Year’s week-end guests of Mrs. Anne C. Peterson were her daughter, Miss Kathryn Peterson, and Tom Brady of Phillips. Mrs. Peterson entertained at a family dinner in their honor Monday.

Bobby Bowen returned to Madison Sunday to resume his studies at the U. of Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Stan Woods of Wausau visited Thursday of last week with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson.
