The Seventh Day Adventist Church at Wilson, Mich., was the scene of the wedding ceremony at which Theodore Lanson Mabie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mabie, Daggett, Mich., formerly of Granton (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Lorraine Mae DeGrave, Carney Mich., exchanged nuptials Feb. 18, 1947. Officiating at the service was Elder George E. Schram, pastor of the church. Mrs. Howard Berger, sister of the groom, sang “Oh Promise Me,” and “I Love Your Truly,” accompanied by Mrs. George E. Schram.

Presented in marriage by her brother, Arthur DeGrave, the bride wore a white satin gown with long sleeves, sweetheart neckline and gathered skirt. Her three-quarter length lace-edged veil was held in place by a seed pearl cap, and her bouquet was made of white gladioli and red roses.

Her maid of honor was her sister, Miss Julie Ann DeGrave. Miss Elsie Wery, niece of the bride, was bridesmaid.

The groomsmen were Odien Sheppler, Rochland, Wis., a former classmate of the groom, and Charles LaCount, Carney, Mich.

Following the ceremony a wedding supper for 75 guests was held in the Gourley hall.

The bride is a graduate of the Harris High School, Menomonie County Normal and Northern Michigan College of Education at Marquette, Mich.. For the past three years she has taught in Menomonie County schools.

The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mabie and attended public school here, later attending Highland Academy in Rochland, Wis. He was in the army for 26 months, serving overseas for 20 months under General Bradley with the 124th Army Group. He saw action in England, France and Germany. Soon after his discharge he went to Stephenson, Mich., where he engaged in farming, and here he and his bride will live after a brief honeymoon.
