Miss Ruby Selves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Selves of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Charles Richardson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Richardson of Woodruff, in a beautiful candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday at the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church. The Rev. Floyd A. Fahlgren, pastor of the Church, performed the double ring ceremony before a large number of relatives and friends. The church altar was decorated with baskets of gladioli.

The bride’s dress was of white net over taffeta and her flowers were an arm bouquet of yellow roses and white and yellow daffodils. She wore a lace-bordered, fingertip veil of illusion which was held by a beaded headpiece.

Attendants of the couple were the bride’s twin sister, Mrs. Ruth Moh, and her husband, Armin Moh, of Granton, who were married in a similar service in October. Mrs. Moh was attired in a gown of peach net over peach taffeta. She wore a shoulder length peach colored veil and her flowers were a bouquet of gladioli. The bride and groom were attendants at Mr. and Mrs. Moh’s wedding.

The couple and their attendants approached the altar to the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march, played by Mrs. Jess Scott. Before the service, Mrs. Lewis Scholtz and Harold Huckstead sang, “I Love Your Truly,” and at the close of the ceremony they sang, “O Perfect Love.” Mrs. Scott played the accompaniment.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Merchants Hotel in Neillsville, and a candlelight supper was served to 52 guests. The tables were decorated with pink and white paper and mixed flowers. The bride’s table was centered with a three-tier wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom.

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and Central State Teachers’ College. Since her graduation she has been teaching in the rural school and this years is teaching at Woodruff. The groom is a carpenter and at present is engaged as a rural mail carrier. He is a veteran of World War II. They went immediately to Woodruff, where they are residing.

Out of town guests who were her for the wedding were: Mrs. Jess Richardson, Mrs. Marie Haslacker, sister of the groom, Mrs. Fred Richardson and Miss Vera Hellis, of Woodruff; Mr. and Mrs. Hildger Hanson, and Mrs. Norman Douyette, sister of the bride, of Minocqua; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hintz and Mr. and Mrs. William Hintz and son, Dennis, of Marshfield. The groom’s father was ill and unable to attend the wedding.
