November 28, 1946 ---Frank, Leonard “Linus” (1 August 1855 – 26 November 1946) Linus Frank died at 11:45 a.m., November 26, (1946), at his farm home in the Town of Weston, after several years of failing health, due to old age. He was 91 years of age. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 29, (1946) at 2:00 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. George W. Longenecker will officiate. Burial will be in the Neillsville Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time for the funeral services. Mr. Frank was born in Washington County, Wis., August 1, 1855. When he was only a few months of age, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Frank, moved to Clark County and settled on a farm in the Town of Weston. He has resided in Clark County for 90 years. On June 8, 1880, he was married in Neillsville, to Alice Bowers, who preceded him in death in April, 1942. Soon after their marriage, they went to live on the farm where they made their home throughout the years, except for a short time when they lived in Neillsville. Prior to her death, Mrs. Frank was a faithful reporter to The Clark County Press and for some time wrote the news from her home town from a bed in the Neillsville Hospital while recovering from a broken hip. Mr. Frank is survived by four children: Irene, Mrs. S. R. Tuttle of San Jose, Cal.; Loren and Bernice, Mrs. Pete Reynolds, Neillsville; and Francis of Hat Creek, Cal. There are six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. One brother and two sisters survive: Gust Frank of San Jose, Cal.; Mrs. Rose Behrens of South Bend, Wash.’ and Mrs. Anna Tyrell of Portland, Ore. Four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
