On Saturday, June 21, 1947, Miss Violet Wachholz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wachholz, Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Raymond Prust, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Prust, Granton (Clark Co.). The scene of the wedding was St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville, with the Rev. Staple of the Lutheran Church of Spencer, reading the double ring ceremony. The church was decorated with cut garden flowers.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white summer satin. The lace yoke was cut with a sweetheart neckline, and lace inserts edged with orange blossoms, ran the complete length of the gown. Her veil of white net was edged with lace and held in place by a poke bonnet of orange blossoms. Her bouquet consisted of red roses and calla lilies. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Elaine Wachholz, as maid of honor. Miss Isabelle Martens and Miss Dorothy Seehaefer, the latter from Nasonville, were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Cpl. Glen Wachholz, brother of the bride. Ushers were Clifford Riedel and Deland Garbusch of Granton.

The nephew of the bride, Billie Simek, was ring bearers, and Kathleen Lautenbach was flower girl. Music was provided by Miss Carole Wang, soprano, and John Bremer, organist.

About 100 guests attended the reception in the assembly room of the Lutheran schoolhouse immediately following the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Prust left for an extended wedding trip, which will take them to Bismarck, N.D., to California, Mexico, Arizona, and Craig Field, Ala, where the bride’s brother, Glen, is stationed. They will also visit with S. M. 1/c Harold Wachholz of the navy, who is stationed in Memphis, Tenn.

Mrs. Prust was graduated from the Neillsville High school with the class of 1945, was employed at the local rationing and price control office and recently at the Milk Products Plant. Mr. Prust was graduated from the Granton High School and served three years in the navy, including several months of overseas duty.

A wedding dance for the couple was held at the Silver Dome Saturday evening.

Wachholz, and Lavilla, Harvey, Leonard, and Alvin Welshaar, all of Westfield; Miss Evylean Pommering, Portage; Mr. and Mrs. William Anklam, Adams; Mrs. Lizzie Hallman and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dettman and Sharon and Roger, Pardeeville; Mr. and Mrs. Hilton (Bud) Wachholz, Columbus, Ohio; Miss Henrietta Turpin, Memphis, Tenn.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Marquardt and son Martin, Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan McNeash of Black Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Genrich and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Genrich of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. John Prust and family of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Armond Wachholz of Steuben.
