BioM: Walter, Ann Frances (1946)
Surnames: Walter, Fojt, Schecklman, Zinthefer ---Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark Co., WI.) July 4, 1946 ---Walter, Anne Frances (26 June 1946) Miss Anne Frances Walter of Chicago, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Walter, Granton, became the bride of Frank J. Fojt, Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fojt, Granton, at a morning ceremony June 26, performed at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, by the Rev. Aloys Zinthefer. The day was also the 24th wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a long white gown fashioned with a lace fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline and long sleeves forming a point over her wrist. The skirt of silk taffeta with sheer nylon overskirt, ended in a long train, and her long veil edged with lace fell from a beaded tiara, set with rhinestones. She carried a white prayer book and a shower bouquet of white roses and wore a necklace of white pearls. The Matron of honor, Mrs. John Fojt, Chicago, sister-in-law of the groom, was attired in a gown of blue taffeta with net overskirt. The bridesmaids, the Misses Florence and Rosalind Schecklman, Milwaukee, cousins of the bride, wore dresses identical to the one just described, but in yellow and pink, respectively. The girls wore wreaths of net in their hair, each the color of her dress. They carried bouquets of pink roses and their heart-shaped lockets were gifts of the bride. John Fojt, Chicago, brother of the groom, served as best man and other attendants were Joseph Fojt, Jr., also a brother of the groom, and Frank Walter, the bride’s brother. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Walters wore a navy blue dress with a shoulder corsage of pink carnations. The groom’s mother, Mrs. Fojt, wore a light blue dress and had a corsage of pink carnations. Following the ceremony a reception for 100 guests was held at the York Town Hall (the next column was cut in half vertically, so could not be transcribed.) |
