A beautiful wedding ceremony was solemnized at the Danish Lutheran Church in Withee on Sunday afternoon, August 25, when Virginia Mae Nielsen, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nielsen of Withee, became the bride of Wallace R. Lindow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lindow of Granton. The Rev. L. C. Bundgaard officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Mrs. Walter Heideman played organ music preceding the ceremony and accompanied Mrs. A. B. Kuhlman, aunt of the bride, of Lake Bluff, Ill., who sang “Because” and “The Twenty Third Psalm.”

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of traditional white satin, with French lace inserts, a train and long white fingerless gloves. Her lace-trimmed fingertip veil was held by a coronet of orange blossoms. Her three-strand pearls were a gift from the groom. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses and white gladioli with streamers of orange blossoms.

Miss Jean Crosson, cousin of he bride, was her maid of honor. Mrs. Gordon Gehrt and Miss Mary Nielsen, sisters of the bride, and Miss June Lindow, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaids.

Best man was Lawrence Behling. Gordon Gehrt, Merlin Lindow, the groom’s brother, and Billy Crosson, the bride’s cousin, acted as ushers.

Following the wedding a reception was held in the parish hall for 125 relatives and friends. The church and hall were beautifully decorated with masses of garden flowers. The unusually pretty arrangements were done by Mrs. Karen Crosson and Mrs. A. B. Kuhlman. During the reception Miss Kay Kuhlman of Lake Bluff, Ill., played the piano selections, Chopin’s “Fantasie Impromptu” and “Nocturne.”

In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nielsen held open house at their home for out-of-town guests. A dance was given that night at Merry Ol’ Gardens. Afterwards the newlyweds left for a motor trip to Niagara Falls and other parts east. Upon their return they will be at home to friends on their farm near Granton.
