St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville, was the scene Saturday afternoon, November 23, of the marriage of Miss Eileen Tramm of Rockford, Ill., and Charles R. Schweinler of Belvidere, Ill. The ceremony was performed by the pastor, the Rev. Wm. A. Baumann, before the altar banked with baskets of chrysanthemums and mixed flowers. Candelabra, palms and ferns completed the church decorations. The double ring service was used. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto F. Tramm of Hayward, and the groom is a son of Dr. and Mrs. C. E. Schweinler of Belvidere, Ill.

The bride approached the altar to the strains of Lohengrin’s wedding march played by John Bremer, on the arm of her father who gave her in marriage. Her long trained wedding gown was made of white frosted nylon, styled with a sweetheart neckline, a shirred bodice and long pointed sleeves. Her flowers were an arm bouquet of pink and white roses. For something old, she wore a 57-year-old ring set with rubies and pearls, belonging to her mother. For something borrowed, she wore a lavaliere which was worn by the groom’s mother for her wedding, and had originally been worn by the groom’s grandmother.

The maid of honor, Miss Lois Tramm, and the matron of honor, Mrs. Glen Mund, both of Rockford, Ill. and Mrs. Elmer Beyer of Globe, a bridesmaid, are all sisters of the bride; other bridesmaids were Miss Louise Ott of Neillsville, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Lyman Hollembeck of Belvidere, Ill., Miss Neva Bartz of Bruce and Miss Irene Potter of Milwaukee, friends. The maid and matron of honor each wore pink and the bridesmaids had dresses of soft blue. Little Miss Sharon Lee Bremer was flower girl and Master Larry Beyer, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

The groom’s brother, James Schweinler, of Belvidere, Ill., was best man. Other attendants of the groom were Carl Tramm of Milwaukee, brother of the bride, and Lyman Hollembeck of Belvidere, Ill. Ushers were Glen Mund and Elmer Beyer, brothers-in-law of the bride.

Mrs. Wm. A. Baumann sang, “Oh Perfect Love,” and the congregation sang, “Jesus Still Lead On.”

Following the ceremony a reception was given by the bride’s parents at the W. R. C. Hall for 100 guests. For the buffet luncheon, the bride and groom’s table was centered with a “bridge of love” wedding cake, and the tables were decorated with candelabra and flowers. Misses Ruth Kutsche and Doris Ott of Neillsville, and Miss Shirley Peterson of Rockford, Ill., were waitresses. In the evening a wedding dance was given at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

Other-out –of-town guests besides those already named were: Mrs. Otto Tramm, Hayward; Mrs. Carl Tramm, Mrs. Fred Palenske and Mrs. Jack Hovorka, Milwaukee; Dr. and Mrs. C. E. Schweinler, Belvidere, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Hilmer A. Johnson and Marvin Grap, Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schroeder and daughter, Shirley, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Schweinler, Mosinee; Mrs. Lillian Schweinler, Beloit; Gustav Prust, Ft. Atkinson.

The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin which will include visits at Hayward, Duluth and Superior, and after December 1, they will be at home in Belvidere, Ill., where the groom is manager of the Apollo Theater.
