The Cannonville Community Church, Town of Washburn, was the scene on Saturday, January 3, (1948) of the marriage of Miss Jean E. Stanley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stanley of route 1, Neillsville, and David J. Krutsch, son of Mrs. Lydia Krutsch, of route 4, Neillsville. The Rev. Charles L. Bing, pastor of the New Apostolic Church of Chicago delivered a sermonette and read the double ring service in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends.

Attending the couple were Miss Lorraine Pierce of Neillsville, and Allen C. Stanley, brother of the bride, also of Neillsville. Keith Counsell, Neillsville, cousin of the bride, and Gerhardt Garbisch, Beloit, brother-in-law of the groom, served as ushers.

The bride attired in a gown of white slipper satin made princess style with a short train, white lace panel inserts in the skirt, a low yoke and long sleeves. It was fashioned with a gathered bodice and a sweetheart neckline, and was trimmed with seed pearls. Her veil of silk marquisette was lace trimmed and fell from a pearl adorned coronet. About her neck she wore a single strand of pearls. Her flowers were a bouquet arrangement of red American beauty roses.

Miss Pierce, as maid-of-honor, wore a gown of light blue marquisette decorated with small white figured bows. Her dress was fashioned with a fitted bodice and puffed sleeves. She wore a matching veil and carried a bouquet of light pink carnations and white pompons.

The bride and her maid of honor entered the church to the strains of Richard Wagner’s “Lohengrin,” played by Mrs. Florence Counsell, aunt of the bride, who also played the accompaniment for Miss Betty Larsen who sang “O Happiness,” and “Oh Promise Me.”

Following the ceremony, supper was served to 50 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, Town of Grant. The central decoration of the table was a two-tier wedding cake decorated in blue and white with scroll effect, and topped with a miniature bride and groom.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Krutsch were graduated from the Neillsville High School with the class of 1936. The bride is secretary to Atty. John M. Peterson, where she has been employed the past 10 years. The groom is engaged in farming in the Town of Washburn. Since January 4 they have been at home on the farm, which is on route 4, Neillsville.

Guests from away included Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Garbisch of Beloit, brother-in-law and sister of the groom.
