---Frantz, Kathleen Donna (Marriage –5 February 1948)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, was the scene on Saturday morning, February 5, (1948), of the marriage of Miss Kathleen Donna Frantz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Frantz of Neillsville, and Dr. Wilfred M. Belaire, son of Mrs. Alex Belaire of Marinette. The single ring ceremony was performed at a 9 o’clock Mass by The Rev. Fr. John J. Pritzl of St. Mary’s Church. Only members of the immediate family were present. The Church was decorated with urns of gladioli and a mixed bouquet of spring flowers.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was dressed in a suit of white gabardine. Her maid of honor, Miss Mary Ellen Lomas of Fennimore, wore a suit of dark green gabardine.

The bride’s flowers were a corsage of gardenias and Pinocchio roses with a matching arrangement on a white prayer book with a shower of small rosebuds. The attendant’s flowers were a corsage of talisman roses.

Stanley Raznar of Stevens Point was best man.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and of the Eau Claire State Teachers College. Since her graduation she has taught in Bangor and Watertown, and more recently in Southbridge, Mass. The groom is a graduate of the Marinette High School and of the dental college at Marquette University. He took advance work in an Illinois college. He is a practicing orthodontist at Marinette, where they will reside.

A wedding breakfast was served at the Merchants Hotel. Later the couple kept open house at the home of the bride’s parents at 234 South Court Street. The breakfast table was centered with an all white bouquet of tulips and snapdragons.

The couple left immediately on a trip to New Orleans, points in Florida and Havana, Cuba. After March 1 they will be at home in Marinette.

Guests from out-of-town who were here for the wedding included the bride’s brothers, Conrad Frantz of Fennimore and Gordon Frantz of Madison.
