--------- Sersch, Ruth (24 OCT 1942)

Miss Ruth Sersch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sersch of Spencer, became the bride of Victor Conley, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Conley of Rockford, Ill., in a 9 o’clock nuptial ceremony performed in Christ the King Catholic church at Spencer Saturday morning, Oct. 24, with the Rev. Joseph Graff officiating.

The bride was attired in a street length dress of Nile green wool, trimmed with gold and turf tan accessories. She wore a corsage of sweetheart roses and baby “mums” and carried a rosary, a gift of the groom.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gehler, Marshfield, were the only attendants. Mrs. Gehler wore a beige corsage similar to that worn by the bride.

Mrs. Conley, who was graduated form Spencer high school with the class of 1941, has been employed in Rockford. Mr. Conley is an employee of the Sunstrand Co., Rockford.

A wedding dinner was served to approximately 20 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, and that evening a wedding dance was held at Club Hein. Out of town guests included Miss Viola Conley and Mrs. Kathryn Conley of Rockford and Miss Violet Walti of Chicago.

This wedding will be of interest to the old neighbors of the Ed Sersch family, who lived on the present Alvin Wolfe farm a number of years ago. South Beaver Cor.
