St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), was the scene Saturday afternoon of the marriage of Mary.. M. Duge of Beaver Dam to Clarence E. Butterbrodt of Juneau, the ceremony being performed by the pastor, the Rev. William A. Baumann. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Duge of Neillsville, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin E. Butterbrodt of Burnett.

Attendants were Mrs. Walter A. Diehl of Elkhorn and Louis Duge of Madison, brother of the bride. Ushers were John Butterbrodt of Burnett, brother of the groom, George Butterbrodt of Beaver Dam, a cousin of the groom, and James Manning of Marshfield, a cousin of the bride.

The bride wore a light blue suit and had accessories of brown. Her corsage was of gold orchids. Mrs. Diehl wore a suit of light green with black accessories. Her flowers were a corsage of lavender orchids.

A reception was held for relatives and friends in the assembly room of St. John’s school, and later a dinner was served to close relatives at the home of the bride’s parents, east of Neillsville.

The bride is a graduate of the Eau Claire State Teachers College and the University of Wisconsin. She has been teaching radio and journalism for several years in the Beaver Dam High School. The groom is a graduate of the Wisconsin University and at present is operating a dairy farm at Juneau.

The couple left Saturday for a wedding trip to Canada and on their return will reside at Juneau.
