June 17, 1948 ---Borchert, Mary (1870 – 11 June 1948) Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Borchert, 78, were held on Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby, and burial was made in the Colby Cemetery. She died on Friday evening after being in ill health for several months. Mrs. Borchert was born at Werner and was married on May 12, 1870 to Ernest Borchert, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Louis and Carl of Colby; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Hertz of Abbotsford, Mrs. Walter Laabs and Mrs. Fred Lulloff of Owen; also three brothers, one sister, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. |
