37 Will Receive Diplomas Tonight

High School commencement exercises will be held at the Armory on Thursday evening, May 28, at 8 o’clock.

Superintendent R. F. Lewis, of Marshfield will be the principle speaker.

The final events of the school year will take place Friday evening, May 29, when the eighth grade will present their class play and have their commencement exercises.

The public is cordially invited to attend all these functions of the school.

Stores Close Saturday

Stores in Abbotsford will close at 10 o’clock in the morning on Saturday in observance of Memorial Day.

Fire Destroys Chicken House At Ingersoll Home

Fire destroyed a chicken house at the home of Kenneth Ingersoll, on Sunday afternoon, the Fire apparently started from sparks from the nearby straw pile which had been burned previously and was still smoldering. The building was a complete loss, although the fire was prevented from spreading to another buildings.

Several chickens were also lost in the blaze. The loss was not covered by insurance.

Truck Damaged In Collision Saturday

A truck, belonging to the Marshfield Milling Co., was slightly damaged when it went into a ditch near the Abbotsford Cheese factory after colliding with a car driven by Ed. Feala.

No one was injured in the accident.
