James O. Ferguson, 77, of La Crosse passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

He was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Clark County, Wis., to Orla and Lucile (Shaw) Ferguson. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from December 12, 1945, until Jan. 26, 1950. He married Teri Kim (Snyder) on Oct. 25, 1978. For over 40 years, he had owned and operated Fergy’s Auto Body and Repair.

He is survived by his wife, Kim; two daughters, Debby (Dan) Fabishak of Milwaukee and Tammy Ferguson of Rockland, Wis.; two sons, Jim (Joann) Ferguson of Milwaukee and Kevin (Kari) Hanson of

La Crosse; four grandchildren, Jacob and Maggie Miszewski, Jennifer Fabishak and MacKenzie Hanson; three great-grandchildern, Audrey, Lauren and Eva Fabishak; three brothers, Richard (Joyce) Ferguson of California, Marvin (Janice) Ferguson of Richland Center, Wis., and Clifford (Susie) Ferguson of Beaver Dam, Wis.; and a sister-in-law, Lois Ferguson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bonnie Felland; and a brother, Frank Ferguson.

Funeral services will be at

11 a.m. Thursday at Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 809 Gillette St., La Crosse. The Rev. Scott Skogen will officiate and burial with military honors will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery, rural La Crosse. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the services.
