Lois Krueger, 87, Colby, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 11 from 5-9 p.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Abbotsford and on Friday at the church in Colby from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 12 at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. The Rev. Mark Neumann will preside. Burial will follow in Colby Memorial Cemetery in the town of Colby.

Lois was born September 8, 1920 to Charles and Louisa (Marquardt) Huhn in the Town of Hull. She attended grade school in the Town of Hull School then later graduated from Zion Lutheran School in Colby.

She married Arnold Krueger on April 18, 1942, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. In 1946 they purchased the farm from her father where they both continued to arm in the Town of Hull until they retired from farming in 1981.

After that they move into Colby where they resided until the time of her death.

Lois was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her husband Arnold, Colby; her children, Russell (Essie) Krueger, Klamath Falls, OR; Gene (Roberta) Krueger, Campbellsport, Lyle Krueger, Unity, Roger Krueger, Merrimac, Faye (Terry) Schraufnagel, Colby, Allen (Mary) Krueger, Wausau, Lori (Jeff) Mueller, Abbotsford, and George (Donna) Krueger, Colby; 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 step great-great-grandchildren.

Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Abbotsford is assisting the family with arrangements.
