August 19, 1948 ---Dahnert, Carl (1860? - 12 August 1948) Funeral services for Carl Dahnert, 88, who died last Thursday (August 12, 1948) at the home of his son, Herman, in Neillsville, were held Saturday, at 1:30 from the Georgas Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church. The Rev. N. J. Dechant officiated. Mr. Dahnert’s six sons acted as pallbearers: William, Herman and Albert of Neillsville, Henry of Pine Valley, Charles of Madison and Ben of Loyal. Burial took place at the Neillsville City Cemetery. Ladies in charge of flower arrangements were Mrs. Alfred Hovey, Mrs. Henry Stucki and Mrs. Georgia Holte. The men’s chorus of the church sang two selections, “Earth Has No Sorrow Heaven Cannot Heal” and “Abide With Me.” Those who came from out of town to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. William Heiking, Vernon Dahnert, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dahnert, all of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dahnert of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Art Goudin of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Prindle of Alma Center; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Dahnert of Mendota, Ill,; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stumke and Mr. William Turville of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Don Syth of Eau Claire; Otto Fulk, Henry Symdon, Reinhold and Albert Symdon, all of Cambridge; and Robert Heiking and Charles Heiking, of Elroy. |
