Kocian, town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.), and Harry Zrutskie of Colby, son of Mrs. Gustie Zrutskie, exchanged marriage vows before immediate relatives on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Lutheran Parsonage in Dorchester. The Rev. J. Brandt performed the double ring ceremony. For her marriage the bride wore white satin gown with tight bodice, Queen Ann collar and a train. Her lace tulle veil, caught in cap effect, fell in soft folds. The bride’s attendants were Miss Elnora Zrutskie of Rockford, Ill., sister of the groom, who wore a frock of blue lace with pink accessories and Miss Adeline Kocian, sister of the bride, in pink taffeta with blue accessories. Both wore wreaths in their hair and corsages of American Beauty roses. The groom was attended by Elmer Kocian, brother of the bride, and Raymond Holtz of Dorchester. A 12 o’clock luncheon preceded the ceremony. About 30 guests were present. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. White, pink and blue streamers, a profusion of mock orange blossoms peonies and American Beauty roses formed the home decoration. A tiered, decorated wedding cake surmounted by a miniature bride and groom was the centerpiece on the bride’s table. A 5 o’clock dinner was served, for which covers were laid for 130 guests. The out of town guests included Rev. Brandt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Laabs and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. Bender, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sulik and family, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Wagner, Mrs. Peter Okonovsky, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Dvorak and son, Gerald, Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Severan, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Morrison of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Herald Klessig and family, Wilbur Schmit, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. George Gregory, Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Oluf Borgemoen and daughter, Chelsea; Mrs. Schaus, Miss Mary Kozy, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Joe Tomandl and daughter, Mildred, and son, Joe, Goodrich; Earl Krucker, Cherokee; Mr. and Mrs. John Kozy and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kozy and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sedovic, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sedovic, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Albert Habel and family, Joe Bobbe and Clarence Regner, Phillips. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Wiedenhoeft’s Pavilion. Mr. and Mrs. Zrutskie are making their home on the farm of the bride’s parents. Mr. Zrutskie is employed at Colby by the Klessig Cheese Factory. |
