---Gall, Dolores Marie (Marriage – 6 October 1948)

Miss Dolores Marie Gall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gall of Dorchester, and Chester A. Bunkelman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester R. Bunkelman of Milan, spoke their marriage vows Wednesday, October 6 (1948). The double ring ceremony was solemnized at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Dorchester, with the Rev. Fr. Phillip T. Weller as officiating clergyman.

The bride was gowned in white duchess slipper satin, fashioned with sweetheart neckline and buttoned up the back. Her princess style skirt fell into a full train, and her full length veil was edged in wide lace and held in place by a beaded tiara. She carried a shower bouquet of red roses and white gladioli.

Miss Virginia Gall, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor, in a gown of aqua blue taffeta. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Lloyd Bunkelman, sister-in-law of the groom, and Miss Betty Kahpp of Athens. The junior bridesmaid was the bride’s cousin, Marjorie Violand.

Arnold Schaefer served his friend as best man and the grooms other attendants were his two brothers, Lloyd and Harold Bunkelman, and Gary Gall, brother of the bride. Flower girl was Judy Ann Meyer, a cousin of the bride. Music was furnished by the children’s choir of the church.

A reception, a dinner and a supper were held at the home of the bride’s parents. A dance was held in the evening at the Trianon Ballroom. The couple will be at home in Milan after a wedding tour of four southern states.

The bride, who attended Dorchester High School, has been employed by the Midway Telephone Company in Dorchester. The groom is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School and is employed by the Laabs Cheese Company in Milan.
