Surnames: Flemming, Taylor ----Source: The Curtiss Advance, (Curtiss, Clark County, Wisconsin) August 1, 1923 Ford No. 8,000,000 Put Out; Million Made In 6 Months Ford Motor number 8,000,000 went of the assembly line at the Ford Motor Company plant here July 1, it became known today, establishing a new million production record. The last million motors have been produced in just six days less than six months, motors number 7,000,000 having been turned out Jan. 17 of this year. Production was approximately 4,800 motors a day and on the increased schedule in effect since has been brought to more that 7,000. The average for the period was slightly above 6,711 a day for the 149 working days, an average of more than 166,670 a month. Motor number 7,000,000 was produced eight months after number 6,000,000. Increased plant facilities enabled the company to clip two months of the schedule in truing out the last million motors. Revivals On At Colby A big Evangelical Campaign is on at Colby which began last week under the auspices of the M. E. Taylor and Flemming are the Evangelists. Rev. Taylor is the West Wisconsin Conference Evangelists. Dr. Taylor was formerly pastor at Spooner and later at Ashland in the M. E. Church. He is a graduate of the North Western University at Evanston. Lately a Methodist Western University in Ohio conferred upon him the degree of Doctor of Divinity. In the near future is to leave for Taylor University Ind., where he has accepted as an expert in his line as an Evangelist and has been wonderfully used of God. Howard L. Flemming is a real artist in his line as Conductor of Music, a splendid soloist, and has one of the most pleasing personalities possible to be found wrapped up in human form. The public are all cordially invited to come and enjoy these meetings. Meetings every night for three weeks except Monday evening of each week. |
