The Colby High School class of 1949 held their 60th year reunion on July 9 at the Redwood Supper Club in Unity.

Classmates and guests met at 3 p.m. to socialize and reminisce. All were treated with a drink or cocktail by Ralph and Janice Nystom.  Tables were decorated with candles and yellow roses, the class flower. A family style dinner was enjoyed at 5:30 p.m.

Allen Din, who served as master of ceremonies, read the names of deceased classmates: Mercedes (Kaiser) Bar, Clyde Brehm, Milton Grieser, Everett Mossing, Wilbert Remus, Vivian (Schultz) Roan, Betty (Rex) Blazel, Gloriette (Olson) Ganz, Clinton Herrmann, Joyce (Erdmann) Degenhardt, James Gutenberger, William “Bill” Bauer and Agnes (Brill) Bergs. After each name a bell rang and a moment of silence followed.
