Mrs. Olive Dickinson of Wausau passed away at her home in that city on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1920, of pneumonia following an attack of the influenza, after a short illness. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Ireland of this village (Colby, Clark County)

Anna Olive Ireland was born in Abbotsford, Wis. on March 4, 1897, and attended the local schools here up to the time of her marriage to Leslie E. Dickinson of Riverside on May 7, 1918. Her husband was called to war and during his absence she lived with her parents while clerking in the local drug store. After her husband’s discharge he accepted a position in Wausau and they moved to that city in May 1919. She was a member of the Episcopal, having joined the same at the age of twelve.

The remains were brought here from Wausau Wednesday, Feb. 25 and the funeral services were held in Union Church under the auspices of the Royal Neighbor Lodge of which she was a member. The sermon by Rev. E. Graff Gear of the Episcopal Church in Stevens Point was in true keeping with the beautiful life she had led and called to ind the fact that her acquaintance with all she knew were of a friendly nature.

She was laid to rest in the family lot of the Colby Cemetery on Friday the 25th of Feb. The following acted as pallbearers: John and Werner Rilling, W. O. Colby, Kenneth Ingersoll, Edgar Bebig and Ed Smith, while her sisters of the Royal neighbors appointed the following as honorary pall bearers: Mrs. Charles Blake, Misses Violet Kehlenhofer, Elsa Paustenbach, Hanson, and Dolly Prosser, and Mrs. Clara Parkhill.

She leaves to mourn her untimely loss, her husband and parents, and a brother, Charles of Marshfield, and a sister of this place.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were, Charles Ireland of Marshfield, Reynold Dickinson of Ogema, Miss Mae King, Mrs. M. C. Bunnel and Mrs. John Beedle of Stevens Point, Miss Edith Gray of Eau Claire and Mrs. George Drumm of Wausau.

The entire community extends their heartfelt sympathy to the sorrowing loved ones.
