News: The Clark Republican and Press 10-19-1882
Source: The Clark Republican and Press Date: 10-19-1882 Henry Limburg, of Maple Works, came near losing a hand last Friday while working around the engine in his shop. The hand was badly bruised and lacerated, and had the engine been running under a full hear of steam, he would undoubtedly have lost it.. The new post office sign put up the latter part of last week is the work of M. B. Hamlin. It is but one of the several good jobs in that line turned out by Mr. Hamlin during the short time he has been a resident of our city. Hon. F. D. Lindsay and family, accompanied by Miss Hattie Brush and Jones Tompkins, left for Davenport, Iowa Wednesday Morning, for a visit of about tow weeks with friends of that city and a party from the east. The Weston House of Greenwood, one of the best paying hotels in this locality, is for rent or for sale. For particulars enquire of or address H. M. Weston, Greenwood, Wis. |
