BioM: Tessmer, Florence (Marriage – 1921)
Surnames: SOSSAMAN TESSMER FRASER ---------Source: COLBY PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 10/13/1921 --------- Tessmer, Florence (Marriage – 8 OCT 1921) A very quiet wedding took place last Saturday night at the Methodist Church. Wallace Sossaman of Medford, and Miss Florence Tessmer of this city (Colby, Wis.) were married at 7:30 o’clock by Rev. George H. Crow. The wedding was set for 8 o’clock but to put one over on the friends who were in waiting the ceremony was advanced one-half hour. The bride was dressed in a very beautiful crepe de chine dress trimmed with taffeta and she carried a large bunch of American Beauty Roses. The bridesmaid was Miss Marie Fraser of Phillips, Wis. She was dressed in dark blue messaline. The groom wore a suit of blue serge, and was accompanied by the honorable Mr. Archie Fraser, brother of the bridesmaid, of Phillips, who took the place as best man. Everything did not go as was planned, someone got wise that the hour was changed and the young couple did not get away from the church without getting some old standby “rice.” After the wedding a supper was served at the home of the bride’s paretns, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tessmer, all that was lacking was the god “Keg of Beer.” The guests were the groom’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. O. H. Sossaman, and daughter Bernice of Medford, Mrs. A. Bird of Stetsonville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Tessmer, Misses Frances and Mary Engeldinger, Miss Pansy Bennett, Herman Tessmer, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tessmer and daughter June, Miss Marie Fraser, and Mr. Archie Fraser of Phillips. Mr. Wallace Sossaman is working at the Phonograph Printing office in this city (Colby, Wis.). They expect to stay here for some time but for how long is not known. At present they are staying at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tessmer. The Phonograph joins with their many friends in wishing them happiness throughout their lives. |
