Miss Lizzie Hoffman has removed her dress making shop to her late residence over Hamlin & Cogin’s store on Third street.

Bears have been making ravages among the hogs in the vicinity of Greenwood. One of the black marauders was killed by C. Markin last Sunday.

The Presbyterians of Greenwood are taking steps to erect a church edifice. They have purchased a lot on the first corner north of the Weston Hotel.

Sherman Murmurings

Everybody is haying, your scribe with the rest, so “murmurings” will be rather faint.

Wm. French has completed his road job, and 35 rods are added to the good road from Hall’s mill to town.

C. M. Bradford and W. Vanderhoff each sold some blooded young stock last week at good prices. These two are among the best farmers in this township.

C. D. French is adding to the value of his farm by putting a board fence around his pasture. He has a flock of choice sheep, and believes this to be a good sheep raising country. There has been some trouble with grub in the head, which can be easily avoided, however.

Unity Pick-up

Mr. George McCurdy and wife, of the town of Hull, made us a pleasant visit Saturday. Come again George, after haying, and we will try our luck for venison then, sure.
