George Mueller, a resident of the town of Green Grove, Clark County, Wis. for a number of years, took his own life Friday evening of last week, when he hung himself. Mueller had been in Owen for several days, and the day before had made arrangements for building a small house on a lot at the east side of the city, which he had purchased through a local real estate dealer. In making the purchase of the lot, a mistake had been made in the location of the lot, and after the deal had been about completed, the mistake was notice, and the money paid was returned to Mueller. Whe this was done he cancelled the contract for building of his residence, and it was then that his mind began to show signs of weakness and his actions attracted the attention of a number of people, but none thought him in a serious condition. That evening he purchased a ticket at the station for Abbotsford, and went to the place on the "scoot,” and after his arrival there he started to walk to Colby, and it was between these two villages that he took his life. When found by passers by on the highway, he was hanging from a fence post with the suspenders of his overalls around his neck, and it looked as though he sat down to draw the suspenders tight to choke away his life.

Mueller had been in frail health for a number of years, and to a stranger would appear as though he might be feeble-minded. He was a industrious man and saved a good amount of money while working out. He was single, and leaves to morn his loss a sister, residing in the town of Green Grove, and one brother, Tony, a resident of Curtiss.
