Source: The Clark Republican and Press Date: 3-27-1884 A. C. Gale will move to Baldwin this week. Arthur Walworth and John Sweet left for Nebraska yesterday. Henry Hartman talks of starting a blacksmith shop in Humbird. Mr. Tuttle has finished shipping the lumber purchased of Mr. J. L. Gates. Mrs. M. J. Robinson, of Cumberland, delivered a temperance lecture at the M. E. Church on last Sunday night. The house was filled, every seat being occupied. The court house having been remodeled inside and greatly improved is soon to receive a coat of paint. The job of painting being let to J. H. Calway. Card of Thanks: With feelings of sincere gratitude I offer heartfelt thanks to the ladies and friends of Longwood, Wis., for the unremitted kindness shown by them to my late beloved sister, Mrs. Neville, during her last sickness-and wish to assure all of them, that I will never forget their kindness in their efforts to alleviate the suffering of my now deceased sister, and to make happy her last hours before parting with those she loved so much. Miss Jenny Wright, Winnipeg, March, 13th, 1884 Card of Thanks: I wish to tender my thanks to the kind people of Longwood and Greenwood for their assistance in caring for my wife during her sickness, and for kindness and sympathy in my bereavement and for their presence and aid while performing the last sad rite of laying away the remains of her whom I loved so well.
