M. E. Hamlin left for Milwaukee on last Monday evening, where he will probably be employed as finisher in the File Drawer and Adjustable Shelf factory of H. J. Hoffman.

W. P. Miller, who has been employed in H. J. Youman’s drug store, for the last two years, served his engagement here last Saturday, and after a short visit to his former home in Appleton, will make a trip to the Lake Superior country in quest of a location to establish a drug store.

Robert A. Wilson, of Milwaukee, a practical druggist and a graduate of the Philadelphia college, of pharmacy and with fifteen years experience, is now employed in the drug store of H. J. Youman. Mr. Wilson comes highly recommended as being eminently qualified to fill the position he has assumed.

The man who hired a team of E. D. Webster some time ago with the intention of stealing it, who gave his name as E. D. Ball, was George Morrison, of Bakerville, to which place he drove the same day he hired the team, and where officers Myers and Tolford first got track of him. The team was found last Friday, at Watoma, where he had traded it for another horse and $45, to a man by the name of Potts, who mistrusting that something was wrong, followed him to Plainfield, and recovered his horse, but Morison got away with the money. Mr. Webster has recovered his team, but the thief is still at large.

HUMBIRD HUMMINGS: The lots secured for a church are just west of C. C. Edward’s house, and in many respects are the best for that purpose in town. They are the gift of the rail road company.

Humbird was honored last week with the presence of Ex-Gov. Tyler. He was the guest of E. L. Craig.

Will Sloan has bought a small farm east of town. He will build a home this season and then --.

Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Page have a relative from the state of New York visiting them.
