C. H. Pitcher and wife, parents of Mrs. W. D. White, have removed from Milwaukee and have permanently settled in Neillsville.

HUMBIRD HUMMINGS: Ben Travis won the sack of flour at the shooting match last Friday, making five shots which measured in all ten inches from the center – Twenty rods rest. We hear there is to be another match at no distant day, and the old hunters are practicing for that event.

Thomas Fitzmaurice lost two stacks of oats last Thursday night, which were struck by lightning and burned.

The house formerly owned and occupied by John Molson burned Sunday evening, the result of a defective chimney. The house was occupied by Mr. Pat Bequette and a Mr. Stanley who succeeded in saving all their furniture except one bed and a milk safe. It had recently been purchased by S. Andras.

The mother and sister of Mrs. Baxter, who have been making quite a visit in Humbird and Minneapolis have returned to their home in the south part of the state.

Dr. Bull, a former resident of Humbird, who has been in New Mexico for the last two years, has returned, adding one more link to the testimony that Humbird is not the worst place in the world.

H. W. Colfix contemplates making a business trip to Datoka.

LONGWOOD ITEMS: Gunder H. Eide, our saloon man, went to Eau Claire last week and brought home with him a wife to share his joys and sorrows.

GREENWOOD: Miss Ella Bacon has returned and is welcomed by her many friends.

B. F. Thomas has returned from Arizona. He reports that he saw many of the rich treasures of the west and had a pleasant trip. He anticipate going again.
