Source: The Clark Republican and Press Date: 9-24-1885 It cost $50,000 to take the census of Wisconsin. I. w. Mason still continues to loan money at the best terms for borrowers. Geoge Huntzicker is attending business college at Madison. Miss Ella McGinnie, of Nevins, visited friends in the city last week. Pat McGinnie, familiar known as “Duffie”, of Sherwood Forest, was in the city last week. A. J. Brock, of this city is having a hard time with his Spencer property, on account of fires. W. F. Mason, of Thorp, brother of I. W. Mason, of this city was a visitor at the county Fair last week. Misses Edith and Ellen Pickering, of Sherwood Forest, were visitors at the County Fair last week. Mrs. Bertha Harding, of Heathville, was in the city last week visiting her father, Mr. P. S. Dudley. Mr. Geo. Eyers, a young farmer from Nansonville, Wis., was a welcome caller at this office last week. James Phillips, foreman of La Flesh’s mills at Sherwood Forest, was in the city last week, in attendanceat the county fair. George Hiles, with his wife and daughter, have taken rooms at “the Kirby House:, Milwaukee, for the winter. Mr. Hiles will build a fine residence there in the spring. |
