Horn, 95, Greenwood, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003 at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Visitation will be for one hour prior to 11 a.m. funeral services on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood. The Rev. Mark Schwinn will officiate. Rose Elizabeth Haase was born on June 6, 1908 in Chicago, Ill., to Herman and Rose (nee Kessler) Haase. At the age of 4, she moved with her family to Greenwood, where she was raised on a farm and received her education. She married Otto Horn on June 11, 1930. They farmed the Horn family farm until 1968, when they sold the farm to their son. After her husband died, she continued to live on the farm until moving to Greenwood in 1996. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood, and was active in the ladies Aid and adult fellowship, and was a member of the Jolly Homemakers Club. Her interests included spending time with her family, gardening, sewing, crafts, and visiting shut-ins. Survivors include one son Darrel (Lois) Horn, Greenwood; three grand- daughters, Denise Horn, Marshfield, Amy (Brent) Horn-Delzer, Janesville, and Melanie (Neil) Horn-Bottemiller, Prior Lake, Minn.; five great- grandchildren, Hannah Delzer, Clark Delzer, Michaela Delzer, Grant Delzer, and Laine Bottemiller. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Otto on April 11, 1971; a daughter, Jean Carol on March 12, 1947; and one sister, Doris Franz. Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements. |
