Obit: Budde, Mrs. Henry (1866 - 1927)
Surnames: BUDDE DRIES BEYERL KARIUS ---------Source: COLBY PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 02/10/1927 --------- Budde, Mrs. Henry (19 MAR 1866 - 4 FEB 1927) Mrs. Henry Budde died at her home of neuralgia, Friday morning, Feb. 4, 1927, at 7:10. Impressive funeral services were held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rev. Lachnit officiating, Tuesday morning, Feb. 8th, and interment was made in the Colby Catholic Cemetery. The deceased was born in Beaver Dam, Wis., March 19, 1866, thus reaching the age of 60 years, 10 months and 15 days. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Dries, who were born in Germany, and was married to Henry Budde, at Milwaukee, Aug. 30, 1892. This union was blessed with five children. She and her family came here in June 1906, and settled on a farm where she passed on to the undiscovered country. Besides her husband, her departure is mourned by five children, seven grandchildren, three brothers and one sister. The children are: Johanna and Frank at home; Mrs. Louis Beyerl, Colby, Wis.; Sr. M. Odilia, Richmond, Iowa; Earl Butler, Colby. The brothers: Adam Dries, Milwaukee; Peter Dries, Peoria, Ill.; Joseph Dries, Milwaukee. The sister, Mrs. Andrew Karius, Schlesingerville. Those present from out of town for the funeral were: Mr. George, John and Alois Budde, Joseph Cosemeier, George Meyer, Mrs. Albert Hartl and Mrs. Herman Niehoff, all of Denver Dam; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Dries, Peoria, Ill.; Joseph and Gilbert Dries, Milwaukee; and Andrew Karius, Slinger. The deceased has always been a good Christian and a faithful member of the Christian Mothers' Society. She had a number of friends and they and her family will miss her greatly, but we must remember that He who doeth all things, makes no mistakes, and point to them the promise, "At eventide, it shall be light." |
