--------- Krueger, Charles (AUG 1883 - 9 APR 1928)

Charles Krueger, whose early departure was chronicled last week, was a son of the late Carl Krueger and his wife, Augusta, nee Winkel. He was born on a farm in North Green Grove, Clark County, Wis. His entire life was spent on the farm and he developed a strong body and firm character. About fifteen years ago, he purchased a farm two miles southwest of his native home, where he toiled and labored diligently amidst many hardships, adversities and afflictions.

In the year 1917, he was united in marriage with Mrs. Mary Laabs, which union was blessed with three children, one girl and two boys. About eight months ago, he developed lung trouble and was obliged to submit to an operation at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls. At times he seemed slightly better, only to grow worse. Realizing that there was no prospect for his recovery, he decided to return to his home and spent his remaining days with his family. A week and three days after returning from the hospital, he was called to his eternal home. He passed away Monday morning, April 9, 1928, at the age of forty-four years and eight months. Funeral services were held last Thursday at the Green Grove Lutheran Church, Rev. Goetsch officiating, and interment made in the Green Grove Cemetery.

He leaves to mourn his bereaved wife, three small children, also three stepchildren, six brothers and three sisters. One sister preceded him in death. The surviving sisters and brothers are Mrs. Helen Seiger, Milwaukee; Otto Krueger, Curtiss; Louise Cole, Waukesha; Augusta Kobs, Curtiss; William Krueger, Green Grove; Albert Krueger, Waukesha; Hugo, Fred and Henry Krueger, Green Grove.

Our hearts go out in deep sympathy to the bereaved. May God grant them a happy issue out of all trials and troubles.
