Obit: Mohr, Albert Herman A. (1914-2000)
ALBERT H. A. MOHR Albert Herman Andrew Mohr, age 85, passed away at 7:30 a.m., on August 26, 2000, at the Neillsville Memorial Home. He had entered the hospital on June 11, 2000. Albert was born on October 10, 1914, in the town of Pine Valley, to Christian and Mary (Gehrt) Mohr. He attended the Silvercrest School in the town of Pine Valley. He lived all his life within about a mile radius of where he was born. On January 26, 1939, he was united in marriage to Luella May Kopp, daughter of Joseph and Maria (Siems) Kopp. He farmed on several farms in Pine Valley from 1938 to 1982. They resided at W6645 Sand Rd from 1951 until the time of his illness. Albert enjoyed hunting and trapping, and attending church. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Neillsville. Albert is survived by his wife, Luella; his children Dolores (Elliott) Kenyon, Ione, WA, Lois (Donald) Mendenhall, Bouse, AZ, Harvey (Sue) Mohr, Plymouth, WI, Kenneth (Karen) Mohr, Neillsville, Edna (Bruce) Klatt, Alma Center, WI, Marvin (Patricia) Mohr, Allen (Debra) Mohr, David (Sharon) Mohr, Paul (Nancy) Mohr, and Ruth (Robert) Schmidt all of Neillsville, WI; 32 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his only brother Ernest R Mohr, and his only sister, Agnes I Hermeling, both of Neillsville. Albert was preceded in death by a daughter Eunice E. Artac, on May 19, 1987. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, at Buchanan Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Bjerke officiating. Buriel will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation was from 12 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 29 at the Buchanan Funeral Home. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Dennis Anding, Scott Mohr, Andrew Mohr, Greg Artac, Jeff Barth, and Terry Klatt. Honorary pallbearers were more grandsons, Robert and Thomas Novak, Thomas Mohr and Matt Anding. The above obituary provided by Albert’s oldest daughter, Dolores Mohr Kenyon for the ALHN site. |
