Mrs. J. B. Fleischman died at the hospital in Chippewa Falls, Wis., Friday afternoon at 3:30. Death was due to anemic trouble, for which she was taken to the hospital three weeks ago. Her death was hastened by loss of blood following an operation previous to her death. Her son, Joseph, Jr., had submitted nearly a quart of his blood, which was transfused to her arteries in an effort to save her life, but it was to no avail, and she passed away at 3:30, her son and husband being the nearest relatives present at the time of her death.

Mrs. Fleischman, nee Gertrude English, was born Oct. 11, 1873, at Tomah, Wis. She was married 24 years ago to Mr. Joseph Fleischman. To the couple Joseph Jr. was born. Five years ago the family came to this city (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) and went into the meat business, which they have successfully maintained up to a short time ago, when the business was sold. Their new home was to be the old Watson farm north of the city.

Mrs. Fleischman leaves to mourn her loss a husband, married son, four sisters, Mrs. T. F. Ames, California, Mrs. Jack Ratty, Seattle, Mrs. Ida Kilmore, Tracy, Minn., Mrs. Clara Getman, Tomah; two brothers, Wm. English, Merrill and Wallace English, Hoffman, Minn.

Thus was the passing of a faithful wife and mother, a kind sister, and a thoughtful and helping neighbor, into the Great Beyond, where sorrow and sadness never enter. Her life has been that of a good Christian, always taking an enthusiastic part in religious work, and devoting much time to her church, she became one of its most valuable members, and was prominent in all its activities. Her departure from this life is sad for the members of the family, as it is for all others who knew her, and the surviving relatives have the sympathy of the community.

Short funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Sargent officiating. Immediately after the service the body will be taken on the train for Tomah, where interment will be made on Monday.
