The Green Grove Lutheran Church was the scene of a candlelight wedding performed at 6 o'clock, Thursday, July 24, 1941, when Miss Esther Tesmer of Colby, Wis. exchanged vows with Harold Horn, son of Mrs. Ida Horn of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis. The Rev. M. C. Goetsch performed the ceremony before an altar adorned with baskets of flowers. The wedding march from Lohengrin was played by Mrs. Goetsch. The ceremony was brought to a close by Miss Adeline Goetsch singing "O Perfect Love", accompanied by Miss Virginia Glasby.

The bride wore a gown of white messaline-de-sold velveray, princess style with short puffed sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, tiny buttons extending to the waistline and a long train. Her finger tip veil of silk illusion fell from a tiara of orange blossoms and was edged in chantilly lace and carried an all-white bouquet of gladiolas, asters and baby's breath.

Miss Lorinda Horn of Chicago, sister of the bridegroom as maid of honor was attired in a gown of pink sheer velveray with puffed sleeves and light blue ribbon trim. Miss Lenore Tessmer of Milwaukee, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid wore a light blue embroidered net gown, princess style with a short jacket and puffed sleeves. Each wore a matching shoulder-length veil and headdress and a corsage of mixed flowers.

The groom was attended by Bernard Tessmer of Colby, brother of the bride, and Kenneth Herrmann, also of Colby. The groom and his attendants wore dark suits.

The groom's mother wore a dress of blue and white bemberg sheer and a should corsage of white asters.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Fromme at Colby and a 6:30 o'clock dinner was served to immediate relatives. The home was decorated in crepe paper and garden flowers and soft light of candles played up a large wedding cake on the center of the table. A miniature bride and groom topped the cake, which rested on a large glass stand, which was used by the groom's mother and grandmother. In the evening a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft's Park at Colby.

Mr. and Mrs. Horn left on a trip to Minnesota and Michigan, after which they will reside with his mother, Mrs. Ida Horn, northwest of Greenwood.
