Niteman, hospital steward for their infantry has been summoned by Governor Upham, under recommendations of Gen’l King, to go to Camp Douglas and take charge of all medicines in the state militia hospital at the camp grounds. This is conferring great honors on Neillsville’s popular druggist to select him from among the many others who belong to the state militia, to go to Camp and take exclusive control of the medical department of the state. Sheriff Sheldon went to Nebraska last week after a man by the name of Steven Franskovak, whose home is in Thorp, this country, and who had committed forgery by signing his father’s name to a note. The examination will be held in Thorp before Justice Burke next Tuesday, when, without a doubt, the prisoner will be bound over to the next term of the circuit court.
