H. G. Prust was down from Chili the fre part of the week. Mr. Prust now sells for cash only, having adopted that system recently- and says its working all right.

I am selling all my winter goods strictly at cost for cash; no credit. Would like to sell the entire stock to some one at a low figure. Will trade it for a farm. Fred Reitz

Mrs. Mary Moore Wheelock has established a class in vocal music in this city which now numbers over forty members. The first course was given last Wednesday evening in the Woodmen hall.

A petition, very liberally signed, will be sent soon to Assemblyman Sturdevant, praying him to introduce a measure in the legislature for the better protection of the game in this state. A revision of the present law, whereby the hunter has twenty days to hunt in and five more to ship his game, is not very much protection to the game, for at the rate deer, grouse, etc, were slaughtered this past season it will not be very long before this game will be extinct or driven out of the state. An effort will be made to reduce the hunting season to ten days and allow no game to be shipped to cities for sale. It should be thus.

Lorenzo Weeks received news form a brother this week wom he has not seen for forty-three years, and has not heard from him in two years until Monday. Forty-three years ago the two brothers separated at Beaver Dam, losing all trace of each other. During the rebellion Mr. Weeks learned from a comrade that his brother George was also in the service but was unable to find him. Two years ago he received a letter from him, stating that he was located at Ithica, New (article is cut off)
